Century Stadium 25 and XD recently renovated its auditoriums with new luxury recliners and tray tables, and it’s a treat for the local moviegoers in the City of Orange area. Nerd Reactor was invited to check out the newly renovated theatre, and the new seats were very comfortable, and having the tray tables made it easier to eat your favorite theater food like nachos and popcorn.
Comfort is key with the new renovation, and the luxury recliners are roomy and soft. It even includes heated options for a warm and soothing experience. With reserved seating, you’ll never have to worry about getting the good seats when arriving at the theater late.
The tray tables are great for food, and it’s a nice feeling to know that you don’t have to worry about placing the food on your lap. I like to pour the popcorn in a cardboard box, and sometimes the butter would seep through it. With the tray tables, I don’t have to worry about that. If you’re not eating any food, you can rotate the table away to give you more leg space.
I’m not sure if this happened in the other auditoriums, but in the one we were at, there was a slight distraction that came from the aisle lights on the floor. With the floor lights near the screen being brighter than usual, the light actually spilled to the bottom left and right of the screen. This was very noticeable during dark scenes. We’re hoping that this can be fixed in the future.
In addition to the new recliners and tray tables, Century Stadium 25 and XD has added another XD auditorium, making it a total of 2. XD is a Premium Large Format (PLF) that improves on the picture and sound quality. For our experience, we checked out Lighthouse starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, so we weren’t able to experience the newly renovated experience in XD with films.
