Skullcandy has a long history that’s deeply embedded with outdoor sports, and as one of the first brands that catered to lifestyle audio, they wanted to make sure they had a product that is meant for the active enthusiast. Today, Skullcandy has announced the launch of “VERT,” a clip-anywhere pair of wireless earbuds that will integrate audio with the world of adventure sports.

Vert is built with the purpose to have sport-specific features that can be taken anywhere that have snow, dirt, and everything in between. Drawing inspiration from the convenience of helmet audio, Vert will give users versatility for every season, comfort, premium sound, and access controls.

The brainchild of the Vert will be its innovative Bluetooth powered dial that is meant to clip on anywhere. The single-button dial face can be used while wearing gloves and will feature all the typical controls that consumers are accustomed to with regular earbuds. That means you’ll be able to make calls, change tracks, adjust volume, and activate your smartphone assistant. Hybrid earbuds will allow consumers to wear the Vert under helmets and beanies, while a “Stay Aware” design allows for background noise to be heard, ensuring that outdoorsmen are safe and in-tune with their environment. The Vert will also incorporate a built-in Tile tracker, 12-hour battery life with rapid charge technology, and will have an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. Vert will retail for $79.99 and will be available in Fearless Black.

“From form to function, Vert was created with adventurers in mind, all the while tapping into our heritage in creating a product that fits how people live, shred, bike, and explore. Vert provides outdoor athletes with the soundtrack to their journey, delivering a great audio experience and music they can feel,” said Jessica Klodnicki, Chief Marketing Officer at Skullcandy.

Kicking their “Adventure Audio” products into high gear, Skullcandy will also be launching the Method Active and Ink’d+ Active alongside the Vert. The Method Active marks Skullcandy’s most durable earbud to date as it carries a rating of IPX7. It features a lightweight collarless design with magnetic earbuds to keep them secure while not in use. The Ink’d+ Active brings a durable earbud into the Ink’d franchise, with a lightweight collar design and an IPX4 rating.

Both the Method Active and Ink’d+ Active will retail for $59.99. All three products are available for purchase starting today at Skullcandy’s website and select retailers.
