Linda Hamilton Says Terminator: Dark Fate Took More Effort Than T2

Linda Hamilton says Terminator: Dark Fate took more effort than T2

In an interview with The New York Times, Terminator: Dark Fate star Linda Hamilton revealed that training to play an older Sarah Connor in the upcoming sequel was a lot more daunting than the rigorous training she endured for Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

“This was 10 times the effort I put into the second one,” Hamilton said. “I had a true village of experts trying to get the most out of this body.”

However, Hamilton doesn’t want people to gush over her physique or suggest she somehow terminated Father Time. Instead, she wants the audience to see Sarah Connor as she truly is.

“I don’t think there’s going to be one person who comes up to me who says, ‘You look so great for your age.’ I threw that into the Mississippi River, because that’s not what this is about. I want people to see me and go, ‘Oh my God, she got so old!’”

Judgment Day was inevitable, at least until it wasn’t. In Terminator 2, Sarah Connor and her son, John, achieved a victory over the machines thanks to the sacrifice of a heroic T-800. However, the war was never truly over for Sarah, and she’s still fighting nearly three decades later.
