Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Gamescom, one of the biggest video game conventions with over hundreds of thousands of attendees, is happening this week in Germany, and a lot of news and announcements have been coming out including new trailers and reveals. Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 open Alpha Test will be available this Friday for PlayStation 4 users, and they have released a new trailer.

The news comes after the closing of the Call of Duty World League Championships with eUnited taking the CWL Grand Finals by beating 100 Thieves 3-2. Starting this Friday, August 23rd, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 open Alpha Test will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 users. There will be 5 maps available with two new maps that haven’t been revealed before. The best news of all? You don’t need to pre-order or have PlayStation Plus to play online, but you’ll need an internet connection to play online. Check out the Gamescom 2019 2v2 Alpha trailer below.

NVIDIA has been pushing its real-time ray tracing technology, and today it released a bunch of tech demos from games like Minecraft. Modern Warfare on the PC is utilizing ray tracing, and you can see the demonstration below.

If you’re able to attend Gamescom, there will be Modern Warfare exclusive apparel, snapback caps, steins, collectible items and accessories. They will be available at the following locations: DRKN.com for pre-order, the EMP Booth (Retail Hall 5.2, Booth B041) and the Activision Merchandise Store (Game Legends Booth) (Retail Hall 5.2, Stand C029).
