Comic-Con: Supergirl season 5 trailer brings new challenges to the Girl of Steel
Straight from their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, The CW has released the season 5 trailer for Supergirl! Check it out in the player below and look for the first episode of the new season to premiere Sunday, October 6 after Batwoman!

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz. Last season, Sam Witwer, Rhona Mitra and Bruce Boxleitner have joined the cast to portray the roles of Agent Liberty, Mercy Graves and Vice President Baker, respectively.

Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. Supergirl is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The series is set to return on October 6 on The CW.
