Sonic Team Racing now available for consoles and PC

Sonic Team Racing Dr Robotnik

Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the fastest heroes alive, and now other characters in the Sonic universe can join in on the speed in Sonic Team Racing. Fans of kart racing and Sonic should be on the lookout for the team-based racing game since it’s now available worldwide for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Check out the live-action trailer featuring real-life people competing in their own version of “kart” racing as they shop for groceries.

The game features a team-based racing where you and your teammates will help each other out to knock the rival racers out of the way. There are many ways a player can help including giving power-ups and speed boosts and helping teammates build up their meter to slingshot ahead of the competition.

Team Sonic Racing features popular Sonic characters and 21 tracks inspired by the world of Sonic. Sonic levels are known for the Loop-the-Loops, and there are plenty in the tracks that will give you an adrenaline rush. The racing style will depend on the 3 different character types, and players will get to unlock vehicle customizations. Of course, the most important thing is speed, and the game offers that with speed boosts, either by using an item or going on a speed boost area.

The game is developed by Sumo Digital.

Team Sonic Racing is available for $39.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
