Avengers: Endgame is now out in theaters, and this month we’ll be seeing other offerings including Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, John Wick: Chapter 3, Aladdin and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. With more theatergoers having lots of options for attending the theaters, National CineMedia (NCM), the company behind the Noovie pre-show in theaters, has come up with a new way to help them pass the time before the movie starts. Noovie Shuffle is now available for free nationwide, and movie buffs can test their knowledge wherever they are.
It’s pretty simple. Just visit noovie.com/shuffle via your smartphone, tablet or desktop, and you’ll instantly get to play. Since Avengers: Endgame is the talk of the town and has already grossed over $1 billion during its first week, there’s the Superheroes Deck for fans to test their Marvel knowledge. And if you sign up, you’ll be entered for a chance to win $10,000 in movie tickets.
Noovie Shuffle is a fun way to play movie trivia using card-based mini-games. The object of these mini-games is to answer the questions as fast as possible before the timer runs out. It’s optimized for smartphones, so you’ll be able to sort, fling and swipe to get the high score. There are plenty of Shuffle trivia games to test your movie knowledge.
Check out the mini-games below:
- Flicks – As new movie cards come up in the deck, quickly swipe the card left or right to answer a yes/no question.
- Star Chains – Find the connection between movies and actors to create a chain of correct answers. The longer the chain, the higher the points.
- Match Up – Correctly match 3 pairs of movie-related cards. The faster you are, the more sets you get to match and win.
- Timeline – Which came first? Decide if an event happened before or after another event, such as the year a movie was released or the plot sequence of a story.
- Bonus Round – Click on as many cards as you can that fit a given movie category before they disappear.
There will be more games and card decks available with movie topics featuring supervillains, hitmen, movie music superstars, giant monsters, movie toys, and more as more films are released.
If you’re the competitive type, there’s a ranking system so that players can see if they’re #1, and they can compete with friends in challenges.
