Lock the doors, a sequel to The Collector and The Collection is coming

It looks like a second sequel is in store for the horror franchise that started with 2009’s The Collector and continued with 2012’s The Collection. According to Bloody Disgusting, series star Josh Stewart tweeted out a poster for The Collector 3, which included the caption “Lock your doors.” Check it out below!

Stewart’s character, Arkin, was the lone survivor of the Collector’s wrath in the first film, a serial killer with a fondness for elaborately lethal traps used to collect his victims. (If this sounds familiar, the film was initially pitched as a Saw prequel). Stewart returned for The Collection, where he went toe-to-toe with the Collector and ultimately defeated him. While The Collection teased a third installment, it is not entirely clear yet where the third film will fit into the story.

The first two films were written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI, Saw VII), with Dunstan serving as director. Bloody Disgusting has also confirmed that the horror three-quel will happen, with Dunstan returning to the director’s chair.

No further details are available at this time.
