Avengers: Endgame is going to be the conclusion to Avengers: Infinity War, and it’s helping to set up the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s a lot of secrecy behind the film, and it’s been said that it will change the future of the Marvel heroes. So of course, fans would assume that Endgame would be the last film for the MCU phase 3. Well, that’s not the case since Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said the honor goes to Spider-Man: Far From Home.
“It’s the end of the third phase,” he replied to a Chinese outlet about Spider-Man: Far From Home. “You’re the first person I told that to.”
This shouldn’t be unusual since Ant-Man acted as the end of Phase 2 instead of Avengers: Age of Ultron. And for Phase 3, it looks like we’ll get to find out about some of the characters in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. As for which fallen has survived, it’s safe to say that Spider-Man and Nick Fury will be brought back from the dead after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame Synopsis: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from the screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will follow Peter Parker’s trip to Europe as he confronts a new “hero” named Mysterio. Along the way, he’ll team up with Nick Fury and get a new suit.
Jon Watts, who directed Spider-Man: Homecoming, returns for the sequel. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zendays as MJ, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck/Mysterio.
Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 2, 2019.
