A Hollywood couple are working together on their first feature film. Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body) and Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210) will both star in the upcoming family drama Dakota, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The film tells the story of Kate, played by Fox, who’s a widow who’s lost her husband in the war in Afghanistan. As she tries to maintain her small-town farm with her daughter while also running the local volunteer fire department, a soldier (Green) enters her life seeking to make good on a promise to bring home her late husband’s best friend, a combat dog named Dakota.

Things get more complicated when a local sheriff, hell-bent on getting Kate’s farmland, goes so far as to burn it down in order to persuade her into selling it.

The film was written by Johnny Harrington (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer), with Kirk Harris (Bernie the Dolphin) directing. Production is slated to begin sometime this summer.

While Dakota marks the first film to co-star both Fox and Green, the power-couple has worked together once before. Fox co-starred in the 2008 romantic comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, which Green had an uncredited role in.
