Brie Larson snaps back at Chris Hemsworth’s Tom Cruise comment

Captain Marvel Thor Chris Hemsworth Brie Larson

Tom Cruise could be considered the new Jackie Chan. The actor has done a lot of his own stunts in the Mission: Impossible films like flying a helicopter, staying underwater for 6.5 minutes, doing HALO jumps, and just being a badass. During an interview for Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth and Brie Larson talked about stunts, and Hemsworth mentioned how Larson is like Tom Cruise since she does her own stunts. However, she wasn’t having it and snapped back at his comment.

“See, this is the thing. I did – I did my stunts because I thought that’s what everyone did,” Larson said.

Hemsworth then rolled his eyes and joked said, “Kind of Tom Cruise over here.” This comment got under her skin.

“No, I want to be the first me, not the next Tom Cruise, thank you very much,” Larson responded.

Entertainment Tonight shared a clip and cheered her on via its Twitter account.

The interview continued where she talked about how she and her character were the strongest.

“You’re just not that strong,” Hemsworth replied. Check out the other part of the interview below.

Before Captain Marvel came out in theaters, Brie Larson was getting a lot of flak for her comment about how there were too many white men at press events and not caring about a white man’s thoughts on “A Wrinkle in Time.” This made a lot of upset fans go to Rotten Tomatoes to put up negative comments, which resulted in the site making changes to how audiences interact with the review section. Even with the controversy, it didn’t affect the box office numbers for Captain Marvel since it made over $1 billion worldwide.

Official Synopsis: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from the screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
