Matt Reeves is working on bringing the next Batman film to life for Warner Bros. and DC, and so far we know that Ben Affleck won’t be returning as the Caped Crusader. There was a rumor about Warner Bros. looking for a younger actor to play the DC hero, and a new one popped up with word that Twilight’s Robert Pattinson could be the next Batman.
Boss Logic, known for creating a lot of cool photoshop art of actors becoming superheroes, has become really popular thanks to his work. He has a source saying that Warner Bros and DC could have Pattinson play Bruce Wayne, aka Batman.
“A choice that I never would have thought to try but been hearing some background chatter about Robert Pattinson being looked at, if the talks (source) are true then all of our predictions were wrong This might be your new Bruce,” said Boss Logic.
This isn’t the first time fans were met with an unusual choice. Remember when fans weren’t confident about Heath Ledger playing the Joker? And imagine back then when you found out that Michael Keaton was going to play the Dark Knight.
Many people know Pattinson as the sparkling vampire from Twilight, so there will obviously be some fans who don’t like the idea. But if the rumor is true, maybe he can prove us wrong similar to Heath Ledger, who was known as the actor in the teen movie 10 Things I Hate About You and romantic medieval comedy A Knight’s Tale.
Here are a few responses from the Twitter crowd:
people: Robert Pattinson should play Batman

It looks like there are many people supporting the idea of Pattinson as Batman, especially fans who have seen his work other than Twilight.
Anyone bagging on Robert Pattinson being rumored for Batman because "hurr durr he's the Twilight guy" is showing their entire ass as a person completely ignorant to both film and the fact Pattinson is an astonishingly good actor with a weird, complex filmography.

Hollywood cinema doesn't deserve Robert Pattinson, let alone the shitty CBM fanbase. pic.twitter.com/RD0lEfpko7

I strongly believe that anyone who thinks Robert Pattinson would be a terrible Batman has (1) never seen him in one of his MANY, many excellent movies, and (2) never actually looked at that fucken jawline.
I also strongly doubt that he would have any interest in playing Batman. pic.twitter.com/RDAM8LjNYv

to the people that think Robert Pattinson is a bad actor because of Twilight, please watch Good Time. he gives it his all and it ends up being one of the most memorable performances of the decade. pic.twitter.com/O3mUkSV2vk

I don't hate the idea of Robert Pattinson as Batman. He's at the right age for a younger Batman. If you've seen his performances in COSMOPOLIS, THE LOST CITY OF Z, or GOOD TIME you'd know he has acting chops. If he wasn't in TWILIGHT, fans likely wouldn't have any problems.

I'm down with Robert Pattinson being #Batman. He's put a lot of work into his craft doing indies. Big time respect there. He's tall. Plus, he's lean, which he can be more ninja-like. I'm open for suggestions.. pic.twitter.com/E6VCL197MA

Let's get one thing perfectly clear:
Robert Pattinson would be an absolutely phenomenal Batman and anyone who is still riding that whole Twilight hate train should watch Good Time and then shut up pic.twitter.com/H0ESQzgk1I
