The Tick’s first live-action series had Patrick Warburton portraying the titular character, but the series was rebooted for Amazon with Peter Serafinowicz taking over the role as the strong and blue superhero. The first season of The Tick aired in 2017, and it was successful enough for Amazon Prime Video to renew it for a second season. Today, the streaming service has released the new official trailer with all your favorite characters returning.
The Tick and Arthur have saved the city, and now Arthur seems to be embracing his call of being a superhero. That means The Tick will be there to help out with his training. Arthur’s sister, Dot, is on a more courageous path, and Ms. Lint is still evil. In the trailer, we also get to see new heroes and villains.
The Tick Season 2 Synopsis: In its second season, Tick and Arthur have freed the City from The Terror — now they must defend it from new villains and old enemies. That is if they can convince AEGIS, the government agency in charge of superhero regulation, that they deserve the job. But now that the City is ‘safe enough to protect’ Tick and Arthur begin to see they’ve got competition.
The series is created by Ben Edlund and stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) as The Tick, Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest, Valorie Curry (Detroit: Become Human) as Dot Everest, Brendan Hines as Superian, Yara Martinez as Ms. Lint, and Scott Speiser as Overkill.
