The new Google Pixel 3 smartphone launched in the U.S. on October 18th, and to promote the new flagship phone for the upcoming Christmas season, Google launched a traveling pop up so that smartphone users can get a first-hand look and feel at the new phone.
Dubbed “Sights of Sound,” the pop up is powered by YouTube Music, in which visitors will be taken through an immersive experience of four different rooms, all that is inspired by different musicians. Google is heavily highlighting the Pixel 3’s camera including some of its new powerful AI features.
When visitors enter each room, they’ll need to unlock the room by answering a simple question using Google Lens. Once the right answer is given, the room comes to life. From there on visitors will be able to use Google’s new camera features such as Group Selfie Cam, Photobooth mode, and Top Shot, a feature that takes a burst of images and then determines which one is the best one, allowing you to always have the perfect shot.
The musicians that are lending their inspiration to the pop up are J.Balvin whose room brings his Reggaeton vibe, EDM artist Marshmello brings visitors a happy and playful experience. R&B and Pop singer Ella Mai encourages visitors to take selfies in her room which is filled with reflective surfaces, and hip-hop artist Future brings us a luxurious lifestyle with his trap mansion.
After you’ve gone through the experience, visitors will have the chance to win a new Pixel 3 or a t-Shirt. The Sights of Sound Pop Up is currently active in Los Angeles. If you’re planning on stopping by you can make a reservation via the Facebook page. If you happen to not be in the Los Angeles area, the pop up will be making future stops in Austin, Miami, and Atlanta.
