Iron Fist Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
The interpersonal drama between Danny, Colleen, Ward, Joy, and Davos drives Iron Fist season two episode 3. Distraught that Joy found out that he was in NA last episode, In Iron Fist season 2 episode 3, Ward lashes out at the NA group, asserting that one of them is a spy for Joy. Calling on Danny for help in figuring out what Joy is up to, Ward suggests that Danny and Colleen host a dinner party for the five of them to clear the air between them. Believing Joy won’t show if she knows that Ward will be there, Ward and Danny decide not to tell Joy, letting it be a surprise when Ward arrives.
The Airing of Grievances
The dinner party is a tense affair. Davos still believes that Danny stole the power of the Iron Fist from him, and to make matters worse, has fallen in with a former member of the Hand in Colleen. Joy feels betrayed that Danny and Ward kept the fact that her father, Harold, was alive from her. Deciding to come clean, Danny tells Joy that this dinner was Ward’s idea, which only reinforces Joy’s belief that Danny and Ward are deceiving and working against her.
Ward, losing his nerve, never even bothers to show up for the dinner party that he suggested.
Colleen’s Quest Continues
Still searching for clues to the mystery box with her family’s crest, Colleen breaks into the abandoned furniture store of the box’s last known owner. While she doesn’t find anything obviously connected to the box itself, with the help of the young Hatchet Gang member BB, Colleen does uncover a stash of money and a ledger written in Chinese. The two divide the spoils, with BB taking the money and Colleen taking the ledger to investigate further.
Hostile Negotiations
Mrs. Yang steps into her husband’s role in negotiating peace between the Hatchet Gang and the Golden Tigers, claiming that her husband, who received the death touch from Davos last episode, is away on business in Hong Kong. Knowing that she will not be allowed to take weapons into the meeting, Yang calls on Danny and Colleen to provide escort and protection. Just as it appears that peace between the two factions may be possible, the Tigers ambush Yang, Danny, and Colleen, who are forced to fight their way out of the warehouse.
Mary/Walker
Mary delivers an envelope full of photos taken by someone following and spying on Danny. Mary identifies the private investigator by a single name, Walker. Davos stumbles upon the photos during the dinner party. Davos alerts Joy that Danny has the photos that they paid Walker to take and that they need to visit Walker.
Walker is revealed to be Mary’s other personality, who takes control whenever Mary experiences her spells. Davos and Joy confront Walker, demanding to know how Danny came into possession of the photos and whether or not their cover has been blown. Walker says the situation is complicated but salvageable. Davos becomes increasingly threatening, but Walker is not intimidated.
