Deadline brings word that the cult British web series Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared is officially making the transition both from the web to the small screen and from across the pond to American audiences from Turner Broadcasting’s Super Deluxe Studio and Conan O’Brien’s Conaco.

Created by British filmmakers Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling, the series featured anthropomorphic puppets similar to those on Sesame Street and though each episode started like any other kid’s show, the plot would eventually dive into the surreal as it tackled the heavy topics of creativity, time, love, technology, diet and dreams, and ran from 2011 to 2016 with six total episodes being released through the artists’ website, followed by released on YouTube and Vimeo.

Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared marks the latest venture for O’Brien’s production company and his second adapting a web series for TV following the animated sci-fi comedy Final Space earlier this year, which accumulated modest ratings and generally positive reviews from both critics and audiences and is set for a second season release sometime next year.

The creators uploaded a 30-second teaser on Thursday, Sept. 13 announcing the development of the new episodes, which soared to over two million views in just two days and became the #1 trending video on YouTube.
