In just one week, Ubisoft will be releasing the next iteration in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. To help build the hype and anticipation (not that itneeds any), they’ve unveiled the launch trailer for the game. Aside from this, what we’ve seen so far is shaping up to be more of an Action/RPG (emphasis on RPG) game rather than Action/Adventure/Stealth. I think this is a great thing, as it deviates from the style we’re used to and implements a more engaging and immersive experience.
Many of the RPG elements include the choice of gender for your character (Alexios or Kassandra), dialogue options, the ability to romance, and consequences to choices you make in-game just to name a few. I think if I was describing the game to someone without saying the title, they might think it was something out of Bioware (Mass Effect, Dragon Age).
