Nappily Ever After trailer: Sanaa Lathan leads the Netflix rom-com
Netflix has released the first trailer and poster art for its upcoming romantic comedy Nappily Ever After, based on the best-selling novel by Trisha R. Thomas and can be viewed in the player below!
The film follows Violet Jones, a high-powered woman who feels she has the perfect life with a perfect boyfriend and a meticulous routine for keeping her hair perfect, but when her boyfriend doesn’t prove to be the man she hoped, she finds a radical new lifestyle that helps her grow and realize she wasn’t living the life she actually wanted before.
Nappily Ever After stars Sanaa Lathan (American Assassin) as Violet, as well as Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Lyriq Bent (She’s Gotta Have It), Lynn Whitfield (Greenleaf), Ricky Whittle (American Gods) and Camille Guaty (A Futile and Stupid Gesture), written by Adam Brooks (Imposters) and Gina Prince-Bythewood (Shots Fired) and is directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour (Mary Shelley).
The film is set to premiere globally on Netflix on September 21.
