Metro Exodus’ Gamescom trailer takes us away from the wasteland

Metro Exodus Autumn Key Art

Metro Exodus is an upcoming first-person survival horror shooter from Deep Silver and 4A Games, and they have released a new trailer at Gamescom, the huge video game event in Cologne, Germany. The game is definitely a departure from the previous games in terms of visuals since the games are known to be set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It’ll still be set in a post-apocalyptic Russia, but here it will have more of an autumn aesthetic, and players can expect danger to lurk around every corner.

Check out the Gamescom 2018 trailer below in 4K.

Since the trailer was revealed during the GeForce Gaming Celebration event, information has been released on what the game is capable of through NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX GPUs. Features include real-time ray tracing, artificial intelligence, and programmable shading.

Synopsis: Thousands of kilometers from the ruins of Moscow, Artyom and his companions discover what seems like paradise – a lush, green valley, teeming with life. But if their years in the Metro have taught them one thing, it is this: the night brings terror.

And here, terror has a new face…

Attendees at Gamescom will also have the chance to play the demo at the Deep Silver booth in Hall 9 and in at the Xbox Booth in Hall 8.

Metro Exodus will be available on February 22, 2019.

Check out the list of pre-order specials below:

  • All Xbox One pre-orders, physical or digital include a copy of Metro 2033 Redux – the first game in the Metro saga, remastered for the Xbox One.
  • All PlayStation 4 pre-orders, physical or digital, include a stunning Dynamic Theme based on the Metro Exodus ‘Winter’ artwork.
  • All physical PC pre-orders and Steam pre-orders include a digital art book and the Metro Exodus OST.
