With the impending acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, many projects at the studio remain in limbo (though completed films will end up being released after all). That’s not stopping them from exploring new options for their film franchises though as 20th Century Fox’s Chairman and CEO Stacy Snider revealed to Wall Street Journal that they are in the process of developing three of their franchises into television series including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Ice Age and Night At the Museum.

Diary of a Wimpy is based on Jeff Kinney’s best-selling illustrated novel series of the same name. The film’s story centers around Greg Heffley, a boy who’s trying to survive middle school along with his bestfriend Rowley. There are a total of three sequels that followed the first film with the combined series bringing in $265 million worldwide at the box office (with a combined budget of $80 across the four movies).

Ice Age was produced by Blue Sky Studios, a division of 20th Century Fox. Voicing the prehistoric animals trying to survive extinction throughout the series were Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Josh Peck and Seann William Scott. Five Ice Age movies have been released in theaters between 2002 and 2016 with a combined worldwide gross of $3.2 billion.

The fantasy-comedy trilogy Night at the Museum stars Ben Stiller as the museum’s night guard where he finds out that everything comes alive in the museum at night. All three movies have been huge financial successes, bringing in $1.35 billion at the worldwide box office.
