Hall, Coleman & Woodbine join In the Shadow of the Moon

Netflix has announced that Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Safe), Cleopatra Coleman (The Last Man on Earth, White Famous), and Emmy Award nominee Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo, Spider-Man: Homecoming) have joined Boyd Holbrook (Logan, The Predator, Narcos) in the cast of In the Shadow of the Moon.

A Netflix original movie, In the Shadow of the Moon follows a Philly police officer who struggles with a lifelong obsession to track a mysterious serial killer whose crimes defy explanation. The project began filming on July 4 and will be released worldwide in 2019.

The film is directed by Jim Mickle (Cold in July, Hap and Leonard) and written by Gregory Weidman (Zoo, Limitless) and Geoff Tock (Zoo, Limitless). The project is produced by Automatik (Insidious and Sinister franchises).

Michael C. Hall is known for his previous role as the serial killer Dexter Morgan in Dexter. His recent television and film credits include the Netflix drama series Safe, the action comedy Game Night, and The Crown. Hall currently finished filming the historical feature The Gettysburg Address.

Cleopatra Coleman starred as Erica Dundee on The Last Man on Earth television series and as Sadie in White Famous. Her other credits include Take the 10, Hover, and Fear Clinic. She will next be seen in Jeremy LaLonde’s upcoming comedy James vs. His Future Self, releasing in 2019.

Bokeem Woodbine can be seen on the television series Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. and recently starred in Snowfall, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Underground, and FX’s Fargo. His upcoming projects include Billionaire Boys Club and the horror mystery Overlord produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot.

Boyd Holdbrook’s latest project puts him on the big screen in The Predator, the horror action film directed by Shane Black and the fourth installment of the popular franchise due in theaters on September 14. His other television and film credits include roles in Logan, Narcos, Gone Girl, and Boomtown.
