M. Night Shyamalan has unleashed the one-sheet poster for Glass, the successor to his “superhero” film Unbreakable and Split. In the image, we see Bruce Willis reprising his role as David Dunn, the hero who stopped Samuel L. Jackson’s Elijah Price in Unbreakable. We also see James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb, who we’ve found out was part of the Unbreakable universe in Split. The poster shows all three sitting down as if they’re having some kind of therapy session.
This movie has been a long time in the making for fans of Unbreakable, and fans will be eager to see how the powers will collide, especially with Dunn’s super strength and McAvoy’s The Beast. Anya Taylor-Joy will also be reprising her role as Casey Cooke, who was the sole survivor of The Beast in Split.
In addition to the poster, the director has revealed that there will be a Glass panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 20th.
Unbreakable surprised many moviegoers with its story, which was revealed to be heavily inspired by comic books. The trailer did a wonderful job of concealing the mystery on how Willis’ character was able to survive a train crash. With Split, McAvoy’s character had multiple personalities, and each gave the actor a moment to test his acting skills.
Synopsis: Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Spencer Treat Clark (Gladiator) reprises his role as Dunn’s son and Charlayne Woodard reprises her role as Price’s mother. Joining the cast is Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).
The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan and is produced by Shyamalan and Blumhouse Production’s Jason Blum, who was also the producer of the director’s previous two films for Universal. They are joined by producers Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock and executive producer Steven Schneider.
Glass hits theaters on January 18, 2019.
