Stargate: Origins featurette goes behind-the-scenes of the digital series
Revealed this weekend at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, a special behind-the-scenes reel for the upcoming Stargate: Origins has arrived online and offers a first-hand look at the brand-new digital series. Check it out in the player below!
Stargate: Origins will explore a brand new chapter in Catherine Langford’s early history surrounding the extraordinary portal. Young Catherine embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save Earth from unimaginable darkness.
Ellie Gall leads the cast of Stargate: Origins and is set to portray the legendary Stargate icon, Catherine Langford, who was played by Elizabeth Hoffman in the original Stargate SG-1.
Connor Trinneer of Stargate: Atlantis will return to the franchise as well. Having played Michael Kenmore 11 years ago in the series, he will now take on the role of Professor Paul Langford, the man whose archaeological dig uncovered the stargate back in 1929.
Joining Trinneer and Gall on the Stargate: Origins cast are Salome Azizi, Philip Alexander, Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez, Daniel Rashid, Sarah Navratil, Shvan Aladdin, Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, Derek Chariton, Justin Michael Terry and Lincoln Werner Hoppe.
Mercedes Bryce Morgan is set to direct the entire digital series, which will run for 10 episodes at 10 minutes each. Stargate: Origins was written by Mark Ilvedson and Justin Michael Terry.
