- E3 demo starts off with voiceover from Charles Martinet

- the Machine World stage builds as you go, assembling platforms, obstacles, switches and springboards
- game now features a ‘death counter’ that pops up in-between attempts
- you can now double jump
- Hero Quests are side-quests which stop Commander Video in his tracks long enough to hear out the concerns of an NPC
- you'll take on a mission via redesigned retro stages, which feature tricky puzzle platforming in lieu of the usual auto-running
