Paris Games Week always has great news year after year, and today is no different. Square Enix just announced plans for Final Fantasy XV’s DLC as well as the inclusion of multiplayer in the game. The multiplayer component will be released as DLC after launch as part of the $25 season pass. It also teased about the Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio packs which will make them playable characters. The multiplayer component will be available after the 3 characters episodes are released and will give groups of 4 a chance to play online together. There weren’t any details on the what, where, when, or how the multiplayer mode will work, but at least we now know to expect it.
Along with the DLC announcement, Square Enix also released a beautiful new CG trailer titled “Omen,” which shows Noctis in action doing what he does best, despite being outnumbered and overwhelmed. The Omen is a warning for King Regis (Noctis’s Father) of a calamitous future that must be avoided at all costs.
Final Fantasy XV is scheduled for release on November 29, 2016.
