Captain Marvel has been a huge hit for Disney and Marvel Studios, grossing $1.128 billion worldwide at the box office. The mighty superhero is going to be a big player in the upcoming films, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige mentioned that she’ll be leading the MCU. The Bradford Exchange has an exclusive collectible, and it features the Marvel hero with a glowing fist and the Avengers logo and base.
The Marvel Avengers Captain Marvel Masterpiece Sculpture is available as a limited edition exclusively from The Bradford Exchange and officially licensed by Marvel. She’s sculpted and hand-painted in her classic colors. She has a battle-ready pose, her right hand is ready to attack and her left fist is lighting up for a photonic blast. The fist can also illuminate via the LED lights inside, showing off her powers. There are also LED lights on the base that illuminates the Avengers logo.
The sculpture is 10.5 inches tall, and the sculpt quality captures Captain Marvel in great detail with her outfit, face, hands, and body. The quality of the paint job is good, but it could be improved upon like the face, hair, and boots. Upon closer inspection, the red paint has been mixed in with her mohawk. Other than that, the rest of the paint job is adequate.
Final Reaction
The Marvel Avengers Captain Marvel Masterpiece Sculpture from The Bradford Exchange is a nicely sculpted piece with a mostly adequate paint job. The thing that makes this stand out from many other pieces is the LED lights coming from her fist and on the base.
You can purchase the exclusive Marvel Avengers Captain Marvel Masterpiece Sculpture, priced at $99.99, at The Bradford Exchange site. The sculpture requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) to light up the LED lights. Each comes with a hand-numbered with a matching Certificate of Authenticity.
Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, first appeared in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (March 1968). She has had many aliases including Miss Marvel and Binary, and she’s one of the most powerful characters in the Avengers.
The sculpture was provided by The Bradford Exchange for review purposes.
