Last month, NIS America announced it would be bringing Spike Chunsoft’s Danganronpa 1•2 Reload to the PlayStation 4 in early 2017. Reload includes both the original Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2 which features improved graphics along with a School Mode and Island Mode.
Recently, NIS America also announced that it will also be releasing Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls on the PlayStation 4 in the summer. Set between the first two game, Ultra Despair Girls was originally released on the PlayStation Vita last year and follows Komaru Naegi, the younger sister of Makoto Negi who has been held captive in Towa City. After being “rescued” she finds herself in a city overrun by Monokuma robots, who are killing all the adults by the orders of the five Lil’ Ultimates.
Rather than being a visual novel like the first two Danganronpa titles, Ultra Despair Girls is an action shooter where you utilize certain types of bullets to help take down the Monokuma robots, and survive dangerous puzzles waiting ahead.
NIS America also revealed that similar to Danganronpa 1•2 Reload, it will also be releasing a Limited Edition Edition for Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. These LE’s are only available at the NIS America online store.
