One of the most anticipated releases this holiday season is the Nintendo NES Classic Edition, which features 30 classic Nintendo games built-in, ranging from Contra to The Legend of Zelda. Set to release in November, Nintendo had the system on display at the Gamestop Expo, and it’s just amazing to see how small the system really is, when compared to the original Nintendo Entertainment System.
The NES Classic is roughly about the same size as the controller, making it easy to put almost anywhere, while both retaining the look of the original NES, which was released back in 1985. While there wasn’t a chance to get any hands-on time with the system just yet, it’s interesting to see just what kind of emulation it will have, and just how crisp the games will look.
One really nice bonus is that the NES Classic Controller also shares the same type of port as the Wiimote, which means that you will be able to use the Classic Controller to play games on your Nintendo Wii/Wii U Virtual Console games from the NES.
