Horror game fans were more than disappointed once Konami cancelled Silent Hills, a game that was announced via a playable teaser demo dubbed P.T.. It didn’t take long for fans to get inspired and make versions of their own. One of these games was Allison Road, which boasted glorious photorealistic visuals and a creepy tone. Check out the pre-alpha footage above.
It was originally intended to be funded via Kickstarter but was cancelled three weeks in after the game found a publisher in the form of Team17. However, the game was cancelled in June of this year.
Thankfully, the creator of Allison Road Christian Kesler told IGN today that production on the game has been reignited in a label he co-founded with his wife and business partner called Far From Home.
“I’m actually really happy to be able to announce that [Allison Road] will continue,” Kesler said. “We had a lot of support online and some folks out there are just incredibly nice.”
For now, it is too soon for a release date, but Kesler is as passionate about completing the game as he was on Day 1.
“In September, it’ll be two years since an idea out of a notebook started to come to life and some people have been with it from the very beginning,” he said. “Imagine. That’s really fantastic.”
