Pacific Rim Uprising release date moves back

It looks like Gipsy Avenger will have to wait one more month to show the world what she can do as Universal Pictures and Legendary have announced that their Pacific Rim Uprising release date has moved from February 23, 2018 to Friday, March 23, 2018. The sequel’s new date is already quite crowded, as it is scheduled to see the release of Wes Anderson’s animated Isle of Dogs, the Paramount animated film Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes, Paramount’s Johnny Knoxville comedy Action Point and Warner Bros.’ new reboot of Robin Hood starring Taron Egerton. Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One also opens one week later on March 30.

It’s been ten years since The Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Vindicated by the victory at the Breach, the Jaeger program has evolved into the most powerful global defense force in human history. The PPDC now calls upon the best and brightest to rise up and become the next generation of heroes. When the Kaiju threat returns, we will be ready.
