Master Z: Ip Man Legacy trailer features Dave Bautista, Michelle Yeoh, Tony Jaa and Max Zhang

Master Z Ip Man Legacy

Ip Man is a legend all around the world for his skills in Wing Chun, and his most famous student is Bruce Lee. There have been many movies based on his life including the Ip Man series starring Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Blade 2). Soon we’ll be getting another film called Master Z: Ip Man Legacy starring Max Zhang as the legendary martial artist. A new trailer has been released featuring a lot of action including fight scenes with Dave Bautista, Tony Jaa and Michelle Yeoh.

I do love Dave Bautista’s look in the film since he’s showing off the mustache and dress shirt. It’s a great time for men sporting that look since we also saw Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) with a mustache and a dress shirt in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Apparently, that style will get you into trouble since their characters have been getting into fist fights in their respective movies. It’s always great to see other great martial artists like Tony Jaa and Michelle Yeoh showing off their lightning-fast fighting skills.

The film is directed by Yuen Woo-Ping, who’s known for choreographing martial arts fight scenes in The Matrix trilogy, Kill Bill and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It stars Max Zhang (The Love Clinic), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Infinity War), Liu Yan (Young Marshal, Badges of Fury), Michelle Yeoh (Crazy Rich Asians, Crouching Tiger), and Tony Jaa (Ong-bak Series).

Synopsis: Following his defeat by Master Ip, Cheung Tin Chi (Zhang), tries to make a life with his young son in Hong Kong, waiting tables at a bar that caters to expats. But it’s not long before the mix of foreigners, money, and triad leaders draw him once again to the fight.

Master Z: Ip Man Legacy hits theaters on April 12, 2019.
