Solo: A Star Wars Story first full trailer will make you shoot first

During the Super Bowl, Lucasfilm and Disney dropped a teaser for the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story movie (see at the bottom). Today, we finally get to see the full trailer, and it looks so good. It’s full of everything you’d hope for in a Solo film: crazy gun fights, the best pilot in the galaxy showing off his skills, narrow escapes, and the coup de grâce of course being the Millennium Falcon. Check it out for yourself below, as well as a breakdown of what we see.

Now if that doesn’t get you excited and amped up with anticipation, I don’t know what will. Right from the start, we see Han in a speeder (with Qi’ra as a passenger) talking about his upbringing on the streets, all while being chased by Stormtroopers. Next, we’re treated to a gorgeous shot of what appears to be a brand-spanking-new Millennium Falcon, long before it was referred to as a “piece of junk.”

It switches over to a beach planet (unknown currently but shows up multiple times in the trailer) where Beckett tells Solo he’s assembling a crew in a sort of Ocean’s Eleven-esque fashion. We catch a glimpse of who that team is comprised of that includes Qi’ra, a droid, Lando (who looks phenomenal by the way), Thandie Newton’s unnamed character, an unknown alien, and Chewie.

We then see Lando and the droid at the helm of the ship, sending it into Hyperspace. Which it’s definitely worth noting that many people don’t remember Lando was the original owner of the Falcon, not Han. There’s a showdown with an unknown masked person (which kind of looks like a Fallen Kell from Destiny), as well as a few action cuts along with yet another unknown cloaked figure (who seems handy with a blaster).

We finally see Han doing Han things, which is piloting his ass off. First, it appears to be a new ship of some kind flying away from an explosion. The second time is at the controls of the Falcon, as it runs from a pursuing Star Destroyer and TIE Fighters, all while trying to dodge some massive tentacled creature. This entire end part seems quite interesting, because it looks as if the chase takes place in a tunnel of some kind, sort of like when you’re in Hyperspace. So does this mean we get to finally see Han’s legendary 12 parsec Kessel Run? We can only hope so.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th. Here’s the Super Bowl teaser spot that was shown:
