We’ve got some big games coming out for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers in October. The first one is the last Hideo Kojima game under Konami, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game takes place nine years after the events of MGSV: Ground Zeroes and follows Big Boss as he tries to start anew after the fall of Mother Base. If you haven’t had the chance to play the tactical stealth game yet, this is the perfect chance to do so.
The next game may not be your cup of tea… that is if you’re a chicken. If you are brave enough to venture into a nightmare, then Amnesia: Collection is here for you. It includes The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs.
The following games will also be free for PS Plus users in October:
- Monster Jam Battlegrounds, PS3
- Hustle Kings, PS3
- Hue, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
- Sky Force Anniversary, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4 & PS3)
That’s You!, the party game, will be available on the PlayStation Plus until October 24. So get that free PlayLink game before it’s all over and gather your friends.
In addition to the regular free games, there are also one for VR games on the PlayStation Store to commemorate the PlayStation VR one year anniversary. RIGS Mechanized Combat League is free for PlayStation Plus members until November 7.
Hand of the Gods, from Hi-Rez Studios (SMITE, Paladins), will be available to PS Plus members as a closed beta starting on October 17th. This will include the Hands of the Gods Plus Pack featuring a Galactic Invader Leader Skin for Ah Puch, a card back and player icon, and five Core Packs for your deck. This will end on November 14th.
