Blade Runner 2049 clip sees Gosling go beyond cyberpunk LA

Blade Runner 2049 Clip - Ryan Gosling

What has been a long 35 year wait is now almost over. The long awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi epic is almost upon us. Warner Bros released “Bigger Than You” which is the very first Blade runner 2049 clip.

First thing thing to remember is that it’s unclear how the Blade Runner 2049 clip fits into the overall storyline. Yet the 90-second clip is not one of the three prequel shorts that fill in the backstory between Blade Runner and this film.

Not only do we see Lennie James’ character in this clip but we also see a location outside of Los Angeles. Check it out!

Although Blade Runner 2049 is not your atypical October release, the film is showing a lot of promise. The clip doesn’t reveal a lot but it does show Villeneuve’s incredible attention to detail.

Sure, there are those that might hate this clip because it doesn’t reveal anything. However, I think it’s a smart choice to show off the visual style of Blade Runner 2049 rather than revealing something. I’d rather see the surprises when the film officially comes out.

Now what do you think of the clip? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below!

Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Jared Leto and Robin Wright. The film also stars Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, and Lennie James.

Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a new blade runner for the Los Angeles Police Department, unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who’s been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on October 6th.
