Jennifer Aniston (FriendsOffice Christmas Party) is in negotiations to star in an as-yet-untitled R-rated comedy for STX, according to THR. The film is reportedly about an over-scheduled and over-burdened suburban couple that go to great lengths to try to recapture the fun of their youth. Sophie Goodhart, who wrote and directed My Blind Brother starring Adam Scott and Nick Kroll, wrote the script for the upcoming film and will also direct.

Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell will produce, and Matt Schwartz and Douglas Banker will executive produce the untitled comedy. Sam Brown will oversee for STX with Drew Simon and Jeannette Francis. Aniston is currently developing the film Significant Other with STX for herself and Jason Batmen.

Jennifer Aniston is best known for playing the role of Rachel Green on the TV series Friends from 1994-2004, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She won fans for her work in the cult hit Office Space (1999) and has been seen in films like Bruce Almighty (2003), The Break-Up (2006), Marley & Me (2008), Just Go With It (2011), Horrible Bosses (2011) and We’re the Millers (2013). Aniston also starred in the film Cake (2014), for which she received nominations for the Golden Globe Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress. She played Jeannie Bueller in the short-lived 1990 sitcom Ferris Bueller based on the hit 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off starring Matthew Broderick.
