Being an actor is hard. You never know when that big break will come. Actor Louis Herthum, though, gives hope to all the veteran actors out there who are still grinding away. At age 60, after working steadily for 35 years in the business, Herthum has finally scored his first series-regular role after being promoted recently for Season 2 of HBO’s Westworld.
The actor appeared in the first season of the hit sci-fi drama as a recurring guest star in six episodes, playing Dolores’ father, Peter Abernathy. Since then, the actor received several feature opportunities in addition to his new series regular status. Westworld is really doing wonders for his career.
Though he’s rarely been the leading man, Herthum has had a busy career. He’s had recurring roles in numerous shows like Murder, She Wrote; JAG and True Blood and has done guest work on other shows like Narcos, True Detective, Treme and Breaking Bad.
The actor will join Talulah Riley, who was also promoted to series regular recently.
You can also see Herthum on the big screen when he joins Johnny Depp for Miramax’s Labyrinth and in Screen Gems’ Cadaver.
