Originally a Wii U exclusive in 2013, LEGO City Undercover will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 4th. Although, some interesting reports have been posted about the Switch version of the game from its box art.
Thanks to the Switch supporting cartridges, downloading games to system hardware is not necessary. According to LEGO City Undercover‘s case however, it states on the front that an internet connection is required.
It also says on the back that 13 GB of storage space is needed to download the game. Seems like WB Games did not include all of the game’s data on the cartridge and decided that users will have to download the rest.
This is unfortunate, seeing as the Switch only has 32 GB of internal memory (more like 29 GB), this would take up almost half of the its space if users don’t already have a microSD card. We’ll keep you posted on this story as it progresses.
