Legend of Korra may have ended back in 2014, but it won’t be long until you will be able to enjoy a brand new adventure with the Avatar. Dark Horse Comics announced a new three-part graphic novel that will be released in 2017 under the name The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars.
It’s currently unknown just how much time has passed since Korra and Asami left at the end of the series, but the series will pick up as the two return to Republic City from the Spirit World to find the city is in turmoil. Series co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino will be in charge of the story with consultation from Korra co-creator Bryan Konietzko, along with Irene Koh (artist), Jane Bak (colorist), and the cover artist will be Heather Campbell.
Here are more details on the The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars:
Turf Wars begins with Korra and Asami leaving the spirit world and returning to Republic City only to find political hijinks and human vs. spirit conflict, as a pompous developer plans to turn the new spirit portal into an amusement park, potentially severing an already tumultuous connection with the spirits. In addition, the triads have realigned and are in a brutal brawl at the city’s borders where hundreds of evacuees have relocated. In order to get through it all, Korra and Asami vow to look out for each other—but first, they’ve got to get better at being a team.
