When your Dad is the greatest person you’ve ever known, you’d do anything in your power to help honor his legacy. Whether it be naming your son after him or becoming a doctor to help combat whatever it is that he passed away from. But what if that person you built up inside your head isn’t really who you thought he was… What if your mother tells you that she doesn’t know who your father really was? Would you seek therapy or go on the most epic road trip ever?! That is the premise of Lawrence Sher’s (cinematographer for The Hangover trilogy) debut film: Bastards. Check out the trailer below!
The entire trailer has that feeling of Todd Phillips’ debut feature film Road Trip which isn’t surprising because Sher and Phillips are frequent collaborators. Hopefully, Bastards is as fun as Road Trip was and judging from the first trailer it could very well be.

Bastards stars Ed Helms (Vacation), Owen Wilson (No Escape), Glenn Close (Guardians of the Galaxy), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Katt Williams, June Squibb (Nebraska), Kate Aselton (FX’s “The League”), and Ving Rhames (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation). The film follows “two brothers whose eccentric mother (Glenn Close) raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out to find their real father, learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know.”
Bastards hits theaters on January 27, 2017.
