If you’ve played any No Man’s Sky this past week, you might have noticed that each player death is accompanied by a pithy quote by a famous science fiction author. So it is only fitting that Hugo award-winning author John Scalzi would be included in this list.
So Scalzi, who was only alerted to his inclusion via Twitter, decided to die repeatedly in the game in search of his quote. He wrote about his quest for the quote in Rolling Stone. Scalzi’s trademark wit is on display, in what is a “sort-of review” of the game, as he describes the various, but difficult ways to die in the game.
If you want to know about the gameplay merits and technical glitches of No Man’s Sky, read a review on PC Gamer. But if you want to laugh, check out Scalzi’s quick take on the game.
