For the first time in the series, up to eight players can enjoy the ink-flinging fun both online and locally in lots of different modes! Enjoy classic Turf Wars, returning Ranked Battle modes like Splat Zones and Rainmaker, or work together as a team of four players to overcome hordes of invading Salmonid in the co-operative new mode Salmon Run!
If you think your splatting skills are up to the task, you can team up with friends and aim for the top in the all-new mode League Battle. Want some practice? Dive into Hero Mode, a single-player adventure where you’ll take on the Octarian army, topple towering bosses and help reunite the famed Squid Sisters.
Splatoon 2 keeps things fresh with loads of new stages, weapons, gear and more – even classic weaponry and stages have been remixed!
Dodge roll out of incoming fire and splash back with the new Splat Dualies, and discover familiar weaponry with new tricks like the Splat Charger, which can hold charge even while swimming, or the Splat Roller that can flick ink vertically. There are also new sub and special weapons to help you turn the tide of any battle!

Introducing SplatNet 2!
SplatNet 2 is an ink-redible service that allows you to view battle results, online records of the weapons you’ve used and stages you’ve played on, alongside your progress in Hero Mode. You can even share these records on social media!
With the Nintendo Switch Online smart device app, you can invite friends to join your online battles and even enjoy voice chat in the Online Lounge.

New amiibo
Three new Splatoon amiibo (sold separately) are also now available: Inkling Girl (Neon Pink), Inkling Boy (Neon Green) and Inkling Squid (Neon Purple). You can save your gear and settings to these and other compatible Splatoon amiibo. They might even give you some special items!
