Grandson looks back on his grandmother's love of Zelda and their special bond after her passing

Reddit user Sabertooth1000000000 lost his grandmother recently due to illness. Sabertooth1000000000 shared this info on the Nintendo subreddit due to his grandmother's love of the Zelda series. His grandmother actually passed awhile while playing Breath of the Wild alongside her grandson.

It turns out the two have a special bond when it comes to the Zelda series. The pair played through A Link to the Past back in 2010, which turned his grandmother into a big fan. They tackled Skyward Sword after that, which Sabertooth1000000000 says is one of his favorite memories ever.

When it came to Breath of the Wild, Sabertooth1000000000 said he didn't have the money to purchase it himself. That's why he was surprised to see his grandmother playing it when he went to visit one day. She had gone ahead and purchased the Wii U version for herself! If you needed anymore proof that she was a huge Zelda fan, I think you have it right there.
