Capcom has released a new trailer for Resident Evil 7 – “Tape-2 The Bakers”.

The trailer shows off more of the game’s environments, as well as the creepy family we’ve seen in the recent “Beginning Hour” demo. We’re also guest to a particularly gruesome dinner party as we meet more of the Bakers, and get our first look at firearms in the game.

As well as the trailer, Capcom has confirmed that PSN users will soon be able to access the “Twilight” version of the demo, which will expand on “Beginning Hour”, and hopefully provide some closure to the mystery of the dummy finger!

Capcom has also released the details of the Resident Evil 7 Deluxe Edition, which retails at $89.99 USD. Originally, the deluxe edition of the game was $10 cheaper, but has seen an increase in price – but for good reason, so don’t worry. The Resident Evil 7 Deluxe Edition features the base game and a season pass that allows users to have access to three additional (formerly two, hence the price increase) pieces of story expansion DLC.

So far, in terms of DLC, details have been confirmed for the first two expansions. The first DLC pack will contain 4 short story scenario, and the second pack will add an extra story chapter to the main game itself. Details on the newly announced third story DLC are currently unknown.

In a press release, Capcom have stated that they will be bringing Resident Evil 7 to 4K:

“The full game will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro, allowing the immersive gameplay to be experienced in high-resolution, luxuriant 4K with rich visuals only HDR can deliver,” adding: “Similarly, with HDR support on the Xbox One S”.
