Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3 Episode 4 Recap
In the previous episode of Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a carnival opened in Greendale. In Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3 Episode 4, the coven tried to use the Festival of the Hare Moon to fix their waning powers.
Celestial Blood
Ambrose uncovered information about a coven in the 1600s whose powers disappeared because they offended the Dark Lord. Since their powers came from Lucifer, the Spellmans went to see Lucifer, who made Sabrina reveal that she was Queen of Hell. She and Ambrose went to ask Lilith if she would be able to restore their powers. Unfortunately, their powers came from Lucifer’s celestial qualities. Sabrina went to Dorian who had trapped an angel in a painting. As he was drawing the blood, Sabrina discovered Nick with sex demons. When she came back to Dorian, he had consumed most of the blood to fix his acne problem.
The small vial that Dorian gave to Sabrina would not be enough for the entire coven to drink, but Hilda had the idea to mix it in an anointing oil for them to use as they bathed in the light of the Hare Moon that night. The moon would activate the power in the celestial blood as their skin absorbed it.
The Festival of the Hare Moon
The coven gathered in the forest before nightfall. Unfortunately, they ran into the carnival workers, who were in the forest to celebrate Ostara. They were pagan witches, who had mostly been wiped out as God, Lucifer, and the Satanic witches rose. Hilda invited the pagan witches to join them in their meal, but when a snake bit Dorcas and Nick killed it, they had offended the pagans. Zelda sent Dorcas to bring them a pie as a peace offering, and Prudence sent Agatha to follow her. Unfortunately, they were attacked in the woods.
While their plan to bathe in the moonlight was working, the pagans had blocked out the moon using a spell with the pie. Zelda ordered the coven to go back to the Academy to regroup and plan a counter move. The pagans filled their beds with snakes. They arrived to deliver a message to join them or be destroyed. The Spellmans agreed that they needed to set Lucifer free to protect the coven.
Red Mercury and Dragon’s Tears
Sabrina saw Nick’s actions as a cry for help. He screamed about his suffering at her. To him, it hadn’t been worth it to take the Dark Lord in for her. Nick visited Lucifer to beat him, but he was only inflicting punishment on Blackwood’s body. Lucifer offered him potent magical drugs of red mercury and dragon’s tears. When Sabrina went to Lucifer, he was already gone, and Nick had overdosed.
Frozen in Stone
Harvey’s father had started seeing the snake charmer. In front of Robin, Roz, Harvey, and Theo decided to go back to the carnival. Roz encountered the snake charmer, who Robin had warned. She started to feel unbearably cold, so Harvey went to find Sabrina. Hilda told him their powers were waning, and they would help after the Hare Moon.
Unable to wait, Harvey went back again to the carnival and found stone statues. When he got back to Roz, she was now stone statue too.
