EVE Online is the huge spaceship MMORPG, and it is celebrating EVE Vegas this weekend in Las Vegas. There are plenty of announcements, and these include EVE Online: Invasion Chapter 2 launching in November and EVE Echoes open beta coming in December for Android and iOS.
For EVE Online players, EVE Online: Invasion Chapter 2 will be released on Tuesday, November 26, for free. The second chapter of the expansion continues the Triglavian story where New Eden is under attack, and it’ll be free for all players. There’ll be new features including Shareable Bookmarks, where players will be able to share locations in New Eden with chosen members and alliance members. They can also control access and duration.
A new Triglavian ship will be released called the Zirnitra dreadnought. It comes equipped with the Entropic Disintegrator weapon.
CCP Games has also been focused on trying to make EVE Online simpler for new users, and it has changed the experience of a player’s first hours.
“EVE has always been about actions having lasting and meaningful consequences, and with EVE Online: Invasion our goal has been to provide a universe-changing event for our community to experience in familiar space,” said Bergur Finnbogason, EVE Online’s Creative Director. “Chapter 2 will double down on that promise, with some really exciting and impactful features!”

Pétursson, CCP’s Chief Executive Officer. “By stepping up the frequency of updates to EVE’s meta, the second chapter in the ‘Invasion’ story continues to deliver on that ambition.”
NetEase & CCP have also announced that EVE Echoes will be available for Open Beta in December 2019. It’s developed by NetEase Games in conjunction with CCP Games, and it’s currently available to test out at EVE Vegas this weekend.

Petursson, CEO of CCP Games. “I can’t wait to see the reaction from our core PC players, who will no doubt recognize the unparalleled scale and sophisticated gameplay of EVE Online’s virtual world running through the veins of EVE Echoes.”
“CCP Games is a pioneer in space MMOs, and will make its mark on the industry even further by expanding the EVE experience to mobile with EVE Echoes,” said Ethan Wang, Vice President of NetEase, Inc. “Combining CCP’s leadership in game design with our NeoX game engine and leadership in game publishing will no doubt create a spacefaring sandbox MMO for mobile devices unlike anything seen before.”
EVE Echoes takes the huge universe of EVE Online and packs it into a portable device. The game runs on the proprietary NeoX graphics engine, and players will collect resources, manufacture items, and explore uncharted planets. They’ll also be able to join and lead corporations, form coalitions, capture rival territories, engage in intergalactic combat, and more.
EVE Vegas is the biggest event for EVE players, and it takes place from October 25-27. In 2020, CCP Games will be bringing back EVE Fanfest in Reykjavik, Iceland, which will be filled with presentations, parties, and tournaments. It’ll take place from April 2-4 at the Harpa Concert & Conference Hall.
