Marvel Studios is starting to delve into multiple forms of media for Phase Four. It’s not about feature films anymore. So not only are we getting fice feature films but we’re getting five television series as well. One of those shows will revolve around the God of Mischief, Loki.
Unfortunately for Loki fans, the character you knew and loved in Avengers: Infinity War is dead. Fortunately, Tom Hiddleston will be back to play the Avengers: Endgame version of the character.
Kevin Feige told the crowd in Hall H that the series would follow Loki on his adventures to multiple worlds. So if you look at the logo, that will give you a clue to some of the storylines in the series—which is why the logo looks the way it does.
Yet the biggest question is: Why does Loki’s journey to other worlds relevant to the overall Phase Four story arc?
“You guys saw Avengers, right? He’s still that guy. And just about the last thing that happened to him was that he got Hulk-smashed, so there’s a lot of psychological evolution that hasn’t happened yet,” said Hiddleston. “But Kevin has generously showed me what his plans are—I can’t tell you any of them—but it is one of the most exciting creative opportunities I think I’ve ever come across.”
At the same time, the series is shaping up to be a comedy as well. For one thing, to announce which Loki we’re getting, we got to see Loki’s escape scene from Endgame. The difference is that the scene is much more comedic than the Endgame version. However, this could all be a red herring. The fact of the matter is we don’t know what to expect from the series.
So what do you think?
