The Fortnite Summer Block Party was held at The Forum in Inglewood, CA. The 2-day event was filled with activities for fans including watching Fortnite matches featuring celebrities and influencers. Even though he didn’t win, WWE’s Xavier Woods was able to raise $23,000 for his charity of choice, Connor’s Cure, during the first-day event. Twitch streamer Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia and DJ RL Grime won the Pro-Am tournament on day two, earning $1 million for the charity of their choice.
Fortnite activities were available all around The Forum including miniature golf. In the Fan Festival area, attendees had the chance to take photos and dance with their favorite Fortnite avatars. Fortnite is known for its dancing emotes, and the character actors sure know how to pull them off including dabbing and flossing. (The older generation might roll their eyes when they see these moves being performed over and over again.)
Other activities in the Festival area included its own versions of ziplining, navigating a course inside an inflatable bumper bubble soccer ball, Fortnite shooting range, and a concert stage for enjoying music and more dancing.
As for the main events, creators including Ninja were joined by celebrities like Panic! At The Disco’s Brandon Urie, Dillion Francis, Tfue, and more.
Day 1: Fortnite Creative Showdown

Day 2: Fortnite Pro-Am 2019
