To keep things rolling and exciting for the summer, Crunchyroll announced another addition to its summer simulcast list. With an already impressive list that can keep any anime fan busy for the next few weeks, the latest addition for Crunchyroll users to binge is “Fire Force.”
This popular tells the story of a burning Tokyo, where its citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous combustion all throughout the city. The Fire Force is tasked to fight the blazes, and a new recruit by the name of Shinra is ready to join the fight. As part of Company 8, Shinra will do what he can to help keep the city turning into a pile of ash. But Shinra has a secret, a secret about his past that can unravel everything behind the scenes and burn everything to the ground.

Fire Force, a manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Okubo, made its debut in the Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2015. Its individual chapters were collected into sixteen volumes that were first released on February 17, 2016. The anime series is adapted by David Production studios and is directed by Yuki Yase with Yamato Haishima overseeing the series scripts. The characters are designed by Hideyuki Morioka with Kenichiro Suehiro handling the music.
