One of the key moments in Avengers: Endgame was given extra weight due to Robert Downey Jr.’s contribution to the scene, a new report reveals The scene in question comes during the closing moments of the blockbuster superhero when Tony Stark, now dead, signs off via pre-recorded hologram to his daughter by saying, “I love you 3000.” It’s a statement that echos a comment made by his daughter earlier in the film, but it was also a moment not originally in the script.

“Well, as much as we’d like to take credit for what is inevitably going to be one of the most memorable lines in MCU history, that is something that Robert and his children actually say to each other,” writer Christopher Markus revealed to Fandango. “He brought it from real life onto the set.”
The original line spoken by Tony to his daughter was meant to be, “Love you tons. Love you tons.” before the actor decided to give it an extra kick to make audiences weep even harder.
Endgame is the follow-up to last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, which saw the titular superhero team take the fight to Thanos in order to stop his attempt at exterminating half of the universe’s population with the Infinity Stones. But it was to no avail, as he was able to successfully collect them all and snap his fingers, wiping out half of all life from existence in a cloud of ash. The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films.
