Each season of Stranger Things features a holiday. The first season had Christmas, and the second season heavily featured Halloween. With Stranger Things 3 premiering in the summer, it’s only fitting that the Fourth of July was going to be in the spotlight. Netflix has released a new clip from the upcoming season featuring Dacre Montgomery as Billy Hargrove in his new summer job, a lifeguard at Hawkins Community Pool.
The clip amps up Billy as a stud as we see older ladies getting excited and ready for his lifeguard shift. Many of them are at awe, and once Billy’s shift starts, he really takes his job seriously. A kid is seen running around the pool, and he blows his whistle and lets the kid know that running isn’t allowed.
One of the ladies who takes a liking to Billy is Mrs. Wheeler, the mom of Mike and Nancy. It looks like there’s trouble in the Wheeler home.
What do we know about Season 3 so far? The Duffer brothers gave hints on the future of Mike and Eleven.
“Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas, Levy tells The Hollywood Reporter. “But again, they’re like 13 or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability.”
Steve Harrington became a fan-favorite character during the events of Season 2 when he joined forces with some of the kids to fight the creatures from the Upside Down. We’ll get to see more of Steve as Dad Steve.
“We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic,” he added. “I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.”
Since the new season is taking place during the summer, it’s fitting that Stranger Things 3 will premiere on July 4, 2019, on Netflix.
